The Father and the Sun
My father’s (eldest son’s) intellectual prowess roars in topics of History, Business, Politics, Geography, and somewhat in Sociology. He is a very avid reader. He has an incredible memory. He’s a strong orator with an almost equally strong speaking voice and West Indian accent. He is a Vietnam Veteran. My Dad, also has a strong and berating temper that can sometimes cause laughter(like a Bernie Mac effect). I’ve observed that, generally, ladies like him and guys respect him. Though he raised me and my sister as a wise, sometimes off-putting, and tough disciplinarian(Like Morgan Freeman in “Lean on Me”), he also gave us plenty of freedom to grow up and learn on our own. As the patriarch, he loves, guides, and supports his family…especially his children. He is a major news connoisseur. He has a great appreciation for ballroom dancing and got me involved with it since my late teens. He loves music and movies and has a great fondness toward these media arts from his Boomer generation, in particular. When it comes to sports, he enjoys boxing and track and field. Overall–throughout my life–he has been a loving, complex, candid, strong-willed, media arts/ reading/ speaking/ deep-thinking news/ and family-loving Dad….and I love him very much.

My(The Sun’s/Thee Father’s) intellectual/creative prowess soars in topics of Sociology, Business, Psychology, Philosophy, Metaphysics(with an acute focus on Ontology) and substantially–The Arts [including Music(singing, song-writing, recording, piano, dancing), reading, writing(particulary books and blogging), and other artisic endeavors]. I am on the cusp of Generation-X and Millennials..but I relate more to the former. Regarding athletics–I like Fitness. When it comes to sports, I enjoy many…but mainly, Basketball, Handball and watching Women’s Gymnastics. I am my Dad’s only son.
