My Mom: “Raisin’ the Sun”
My Mom is a good person. She is very wise and beautiful…inside and out. From my observation, she has a very substantial capacity socially, maternally, and spiritually. My Mom has a very strong mind and will. She’s also deeply intuitive. She is the most responsible woman I know. She’s always been a very classy and down-to-earth woman ever since she was a young teenager growing up in the West Indies. She is an excellent conversationalist and is truly a master at spirited and interesting small talk. She has a good heart, but she is certainly NO pushover. She’ll definitely get in ‘dat ass if you piss her off! My Mom has a remarkably well-adjusted mindset and overall cool personality—considering that she hasn’t had the easiest life at times. She is very sensible and considerate. She’s sharp, quick-witted, and has a great sense of humor, too. I’ve observed that people generally admire her… not just for her resonating beauty and personality but seemingly mostly for her comforting, centered poise and enunciatingly regal aura. She is—no question—a valuable friend to have…or really just a wonderful person to know. I sometimes tell her how great a Mom she’s been and that if she were my aunt or something, she would be my favorite aunt. She would make a fantastic Mother-in-Law or really any other type of female family member—at least in the eyes of good family. She ages slowly and, as a result, generally looks 10-15 years younger than her age. She’s a good time during a festive event. I’ve often playfully pointed out her affinity for a festive occasion to her. Every year, we have a laugh about how she makes a point to watch major TV events like all of the major award shows, like The Oscars and the Grammy’s etc.—as well as the final game of major sports events like the Superbowl, the NBA Finals, the US Open….even though if she hasn’t watched any new movies, listened to new music and never watche/ followed any of the season games! lol. Yet, thanks to social media, she’s still so hip…and just so cool. Most importantly, he has a great relationship with God.
Below, I have posted media of my Mother and a couple of others that remind me of my mother:
